Cheryl Krueger, CFP®

Certified Financial Planner®

Cheryl Krueger is a Financial Planner at Vantage Point Financial, where she helps clients build and refine financial plans that give them genuine confidence in their decisions. Her specialty is the pre-retirement transition — helping people determine whether they’re ready to retire now or making sure they’re on the right path for when that moment arrives. She’s also attuned to the longer journey: once clients step into retirement, they want the assurance that someone familiar is still in their corner.

Cheryl’s career began in the life insurance industry, where she worked as an actuary designing and pricing insurance and annuity products, conducting merger and acquisition appraisals, and developing strategic plans to improve organizational performance. That analytical foundation became the backbone of her client work. In 2007, she founded Growing Fortunes Financial Partners LLC as a solo fee-only, fiduciary planning practice. In 2023, she partnered with CGN Advisors, LLC to expand her capabilities, and in 2026, she joined Vantage Point Financial — bringing clients access to a full team of specialists as she transitions toward her own retirement. Cheryl has called the Chicagoland area home since 1990. She is married with one adult child and two adult stepchildren. A lifelong animal lover, she scouts out zoos wherever her travels take her — and in her spare time, she’s working on a bucket list item that keeps getting better: playing the saxophone with a community band and saxophone ensemble.
